Classified Job Postings


Classified NEW APPLICANT Procedure: (Non-Substitute)
(Follow this procedure to become a APPLY for open positions and to apply for Classified SUBSTITUTE.)

1. Pass the CVESD Proficiency Test.
Once you pass the test, you will receive a letter in the mail with your scores.  You can begin applying for any open position requiring the successful passing of the exam taken. (If you are applying for an Instructional Assistant or Student Attendant Substitute position; AND you have a U.S. Associate's degree or higher, you may waive the written portion of the IA/SA exam)

HR will NOT process single application forms or applications that do not include all required materials as listed in your email instructions. Please note: We are no longer accepting printed in-person Applications.  Please apply for specific positions through Edjoin.

2. Obtain Livescan Fingerprint/Background Clearance:
Upon successful passing of the CVESD Proficiency exams or Recommendation for a specific position.  You will be provided with an fillable LiveScan Form, which you will toke to a LiveScan processing center for fingerprinting.
This process has an out-of-pocket expense of approximately $74.00. (Additional details will be provided via email if you are selected to move forward in the hiring/onboarding process.)

When you submit your application via Edjoin, it is automatically routed to the hiring department for review.
Should you be selected for an interview, the site or department will reach out directly to you to schedule an interview. If you are recommended for the position, the site will notify the Human Resources Department so that they can initiate the onboarding process. Please do not contact the Human Resources Department regarding the status of your Edjoin application.

  1. Be sure that you are qualified for the position by reading through each specific posting.
  2. To apply, you will need to visit the Classified Openings list on CVESD or Edjoin. Include all required documentation listed for the posting, if any. If you would like to include a resume or additional documentation, you must have a copy of each item for each application you are submitting. When prompted, please use the following password: Internal.
  3. You will be contacted via phone or email directly by the hiring site regarding your application and interview process.
