About Chula Vista

With a population of 265,000, Chula Vista is the county’s second largest city in San Diego County. Located seven miles south of downtown San Diego and seven miles north of the world’s busiest international border crossing, the city is at the crossroads of the region.

Our Community

From a scenic bay front that stretches along the coast to the master-planned communities and majestic San Miguel Mountain in the east, Chula Vista is a powerhouse of residential design and environmental innovation. It is one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. A major redevelopment project is underway in the urban core, and a world-class bayfront is in the works.

Chula Vista is proud to be home to the country’s only warm-weather, year-round, multi-sport Chula Vista Elite Training Center and a nationally recognized concert venue, a wildlife preserve and a popular water theme park. (Information courtesy of the City of Chula Vista.)
