All schools at the Chula Vista Elementary School District offer the LEAD Program for students. LEAD, which stands for learn, enrich, aspire, and develop, is provided for free as a before and after-school program or intersession program.
Each school site has different enrichment offerings, including language, robotics, music, sports, and more. Students participating in the program learn a new skill and gain the valuable opportunity to interact with peers in a physically and emotionally safe environment.
How to Enroll
Your child must be enrolled at the school you are applying to for the LEAD Program during the regular school day. Parents and guardians must submit an interest form at your school site to start the application process.
Application Process
An application must be completed for each child applying for the LEAD Program. Currently, all applications are submitted in person to your school site lead. In the near future, all enrollment will be conducted online. All information provided on the application is subject to verification. Falsifying any of the information may disqualify the applicant. Please note that applying does not guarantee participation in the LEAD Program. Priority for participation will be given to unduplicated students, which include English Language Learners, students who qualify for free and reduced meals, foster, and homeless students.
