Transportation Services
The Chula Vista Elementary School District provides transportation for students who reside beyond walking distance of their school residence.
Walking distances to a bus stop are:
- Kindergarten: three-fourths mile
- Grade one: one mile
- Grades two through three: one and one-fourth mile
- Grades four through six: one and one-half mile
The Superintendent, or designee, may authorize transportation within the minimum distance when unusual circumstances or hazards exist.
Requesting Transportation for Your Child

2024-25 General Education Bus Schedules document coming soon. All serviced schools are listed. The tabs on the worksheet are separated by school site. Please complete the Transportation Application Form to add your child's name to the bus roster. This will make you aware of future bus changes via phone and email.
Requesting Transportation for Your Child with Special Needs
When transportation has been determined to be a required related service on the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP), then requests for transportation are input by either the school psychologist (current students) or Pupil Services Technicians (newly enrolling students). Transportation requests will only be processed after the registration has been completed at the school site. Once the request has been processed, the Transportation Department will notify the parent of the transportation details (times, location, etc.). Please note that transportation requests can take up to seven days to be fulfilled. Additional information for parents of children with special needs can be found in the Forms and Documents section below.
