Parent Implementation Program
The Parent Implementation Program (PIP) is designed to support children with behavior challenges and provide their caregivers with effective strategies to parent more efficiently. If you are experiencing significant behavioral difficulties with your child and want to learn new strategies to address the behavior, PIP is here to help. Children should be between three to six years old.
PIP includes individual training sessions and opportunities to practice new skills learned within a safe and professional setting. Our staff includes experienced parents who have been through the program with their children and understand what they are going through.
PIP is a certified expansion site of the internationally recognized Regional Intervention Program established in 1969 at Vanderbilt University. We are the only west coast program providing parents, guardians, and families of children ages three to six with free behavioral and social-emotional intervention training and support. PIP is unique because it focuses on the parent/guardian and empowers families to maximize positive, developmentally appropriate behavior in children experiencing mild to severe behavioral challenges. This early intervention program teaches parents to utilize research-backed evidence-based strategies with proven outcomes for participants, including a significant decrease in aggression and antisocial behavior throughout adolescence and higher high school and college graduation rates. With all the ups and downs that may present throughout the journey as a parent, PIP is here to help with its primary focus of breaking old behavior patterns, resulting in a more positive family dynamic.
