Board of Education Members are elected by the public during general elections and serve four-year terms. The Chula Vista Elementary School District Board of Education comprises five seats for which members are elected at-large.
The Board usually convenes for monthly meetings, to conduct District business, hear from the public, and review a variety of reports. At the organizational meeting that is held every December, the Board elects a President, Vice President, and Clerk.
