LEAD Program Information
CVESD's LEAD Program is a free program funded by the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP). All our schools offer the LEAD Program, with each site offering different enrichment offerings, including language, robotics, music, sports, and more. Students participating in the program learn a new skill and gain the valuable opportunity to interact with peers in a physically and emotionally safe environment. The LEAD Program is free to transitional kindergarten through sixth grade students who meet program requirements.
Program Qualifications
Highest priority will be given to foster youth, unsheltered students living in hotels/motels, temporarily doubled up or living in shelters, English language learners, and socioeconomically disadvantaged students. After the highest priority students are registered, additional students will be registered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
How to Enroll
Your child must be enrolled at the school you are applying to for the LEAD Program during the regular school day. For more information on how to apply, please speak to the program on-site LEAD staff, or you can email [email protected].
Application Process
An application must be completed for each child applying for the LEAD Program. Currently, all applications are submitted in person to your school site lead. In the near future, all enrollment will be conducted online. All information provided on the application is subject to verification. Falsifying any of the information may disqualify the applicant. Please note that applying does not guarantee participation in the LEAD Program.
LEAD Academy Program
The LEAD Academy Program is free to CVESD students in transitional kindergarten through sixth grade. Funded through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, LEAD Academy offers a wide variety of academic and fun enrichment activities, field trips, and meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks).
The highest priority is given to students identified as “unduplicated” (foster youth, unsheltered, students living in motels/hotels, temporarily doubled up, students in temporary shelters, English language learners, and socioeconomically disadvantaged students). After the highest priority students are registered, additional students will be registered on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, please email [email protected].
