Surveys

California Healthy Kids

The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is an anonymous survey of school climate and safety, student wellness, and youth resiliency. It’s part of a comprehensive data-driven decision-making process by the California Department of Education to gather valuable information about students' health-related behaviors, school climate, and overall well-being. Annually, CHKS will be open for all fifth-grade students who have opted in to participate. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes and will be administered during class. To view the survey questions, please expand the CHKS section in the Forms and Documents section below.

Hanover End-of-Year Survey

Every year, CVESD partners with Hanover Research to conduct a short survey to help us understand the current school year and the following year's priorities and needs. The survey is distributed to parents, guardians, staff, and students in 4th-6th grade who have opted in. All responses are anonymous and are kept confidential.

LCAP Survey

Every year, CVESD conducts our annual survey to gather input on our Local Control and Accountability Plan, or LCAP, which will shape the district's goals and guide our budgeting priorities for the remaining year of our 3-year plan. More information on the LCAP can be found on the LCAP webpage.
