Budget Advisory Committee
The Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) is composed of a parent/guardian representative from each school site and district finance personnel. The BAC meets regularly throughout the school year in an open forum to review the current annual district budget, interim district budget reports, the governor’s initial state budget for the following school year, the May revision to the governor’s initial state budget, and the district’s proposed budget for the following school year. Topics of conversation may also include current legislation and its impact on the district budget. Members are recruited by school sites beginning in August, and the first BAC meeting generally takes place in October. The BAC does not meet in December. BAC members report the current budget information to the School Site Council. Please contact your school principal if you are interested in serving as your school site representative on the district BAC.
