2026-27 School Year
Whether your student is in transitional kindergarten through 6th grade or a returning student, you can enroll them for the upcoming year. Select district charter schools also accept grades 7th through 12th grade registrations.

| 2026-27 New Student Online Registration | February 11, 2026 | Open at 9 a.m. |
| New Interdistrict Transfer Permits | March 2, 2026 | Families living outside the Chula Vista Elementary School District who are interested in having their child attend CVESD must apply for an Interdistrict Attendance Permit. Visit your District of residence to acquire the permit. Parents are required to provide proof of residency, one year of attendance records, and, if relevant, the IEP, 504 plan, and behavior/discipline records. |

K - 6th Grade The School of Residence will email families with zone transfer links who request a zone transfer for the 2026-27 school year once registration is completed and processed by the school office. Decision notifications will be sent to families via email by July 17, 2026. |

The School of Residence will email new zone transfer links to the families requesting a zone transfer and to students who were not selected in the lottery results. *Wolf Canyon families will receive communication regarding K-6th grade placement to an overflow school. |
| 2026-27 Continuing Student Enrollment Launches | May 26 - June 16, 2026 |
Families must re-enroll for the 2026-27 school year by June 16, 2026, to be included in the class roster. Students attending CVESD on an Interdistrict Attendance Permit must have an approved permit by April 30, 2026, to receive the re-enrollment link.
