CVESD Hosts 4th Annual Community Expo to Kick Off New School Year

The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) welcomed families from across the district to its 4th Annual Community Expo on Saturday, July 26, celebrating the start of the 2025–26 school year with food, fun, and valuable resources.

Held at the district office, the event ran from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and featured many booths and activities designed to connect families with district departments and community services. Attendees enjoyed free food and engaging activities for all ages.

Participating CVESD departments included Communications, Community Schools, Child Nutrition Services, Early Childhood Education, Human Resources, Instructional Services, Special Education, Transportation, Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA), and more. In addition to district resources, numerous community service organizations were on hand to provide information and support for families.

“This expo is a wonderful way to bring our families together at the start of the school year and showcase the many services available to support our students and families,” said Superintendent Eduardo Reyes, Ed.D.

The event was proudly sponsored by North Island Credit Union, XEWT 12, Pop Up! Yard Cards, Republic Services, Sibs & Saints Co., and ASI Hastings, Inc.
