Congratulations to Karena Haro, the San Diego County Office of Education 2023 Middle School Counselor of the Year! Ms. Haro works as a middle school counselor at Feaster Charter School and is vital in ensuring a safe and caring environment for all students to succeed.
Ms. Haro has been with Feaster Charter School for the last four years as a school counselor and has served as the lead counselor for the last two years. She is known for going above and beyond what is expected of her to connect with students and do her job as effectively as possible. Often, she is seen working after school to seek new ways to reach out to students and families and provide the best support possible.
The San Diego County Office of Education Middle School Counselor of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates school counselors who are leaders in their profession. Ms. Haro will be recognized at the San Diego County Office of Education’s annual awards ceremony.
