Online enrollment for new students is now open at the Chula Vista Elementary School District. CVESD students experience high-quality academics, full-day transitional kindergarten, dual-language immersion programs, district-wide visual and performing arts, innovative partnerships, and a technology-based curriculum.
To enroll for transitional kindergarten, your child’s birthdate must be between 09/02/20 through 09/01/2021. To register for kindergarten, your child’s birthdate must be between 09/02/19 through 09/01/20.
New this year!
The Student Placement Department will now manage zone transfers. Priority will be given to students residing within their designated attendance areas, with additional consideration given to factors such as classroom capacity, attendance records, and behavior history. Due to continued growth, no new transfers will be approved for eastern schools. If your child will be staying at their neighborhood school, no action is needed.

Exam Requirements
Children enrolling in 1st grade for the first time will also need to complete required dental and physical exams.
Residency Verification
Guardians must show proof of residency within the Chula Vista Elementary School District.

To enroll a student, guardians will need to create a new system login. Information may be saved and updated until the enrollment is complete. Once your online enrollment is submitted, your neighborhood school staff will help you complete your child’s enrollment. Enrollment forms and instructions can be found here. For continuing students, enrollment will begin in May 2025.
