CVESD to Offer Full-Day Transitional Kindergarten
The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) knows that a child’s potential is maximized when they are provided with high-quality early education experiences. CVESD will offer full-day transitional kindergarten (TK) for the 2022-23 school year. TK is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program for students turning five between Sept. 2 and Feb. 2.
Students in the TK Program complete a full year in TK and then a full year in regular kindergarten before moving on to first grade. TK is a full-day pre-kindergarten program designed to build a bridge between early learning and kindergarten. Students must have immunizations before entering the program and show proof of residency.
