The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) launches this year’s annual Speech Contest for 4th, 5th, 6th, and middle school students. Students are encouraged to write, prepare, and deliver a speech that answers this year’s theme: A Letter to My Future Self.

Students compete at the school-site level and then move on to the district level, where they are judged on their speech's content, delivery, and language. This year’s contest will be held in February of 2025.

First, second, and third-place winners for each grade level will receive monetary prizes and recognition from the district’s Board of Education. Thank you to Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary and Chula Vista Noon Rotary sponsors, for the generous donations.
