The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) is hosting a district-wide student attendance competition in December and January to encourage daily attendance. The winning school will win a special grand prize and receive recognition at our February Board of Education Meeting.
The initiative is part of the district’s commitment to encouraging students to attend class on time every day. We are also bringing awareness to our families about the importance of attendance for students and why every day counts.
Although attendance is encouraged all week, students can contribute to their school’s competition by attending school on Fridays. For each student that attends, school sites will receive a point toward their school site’s overall score. Each week, the school with the highest average points for Friday attendance will earn an entry into the drawing.
Schools are also encouraged to post pictures on Fridays in December and January using the hashtag #FullHouseFriday and tag @CVESDNews to earn an entry each week.
