Community members are encouraged to suggest names and provide their reasoning behind the suggestions.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District's (CVESD) Board of Education is now accepting name recommendations for our newest school located at 1789 Santa Carolina Avenue in Chula Vista, which is in the Otay Ranch Village 2 Montecito Community.
Students, parents, guardians, staff, and community members are encouraged to suggest names and provide their reasoning behind their suggestions. Proposed names may encompass individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to the community, state, or nation, geographical references, historical landmarks, and more.
The Board of Education will thoroughly consider and review all suggestions during its meeting on August 9 and ultimately decide on the new school's name.
How to submit a recommendation:
