The Valle Lindo Dress Code is based on the foundation that all students need to be provided with a safe, distraction-free learning environment. Please do not send your child to school with any of the following items:

· Clogs, thongs, platform shoes higher than 1-1/2 inch, sandals without straps or with exposed toes, tennis shoes with rollers (“Heelys”)
· Overly baggy or sagging pants or shorts
· Very short dresses, skirts, or shorts that expose upper -thigh areas
· Pants, shorts, skirts or dresses in which underwear is showing
· T-shirts, tops or blouses that are too short (skin showing) or with spaghetti straps
· Team jerseys without sleeves
· Clothing with offensive slogans, words or pictures.
· Large, dangling or hoop earrings; heavy, long chains thicker than 1/8” or bandanas

If a student arrives at school dressed inappropriately, we will call parents from the office to have a change of clothes brought to school. If a parent is not home, we will loan appropriate clothes (t-shirt, pants or shorts) for the day.  A notice will be sent home about the clothing change and dress code violation.
We ask for your support and cooperation regarding the dress code.

El Reglamento de Vestir de Valle Lindo está  fundado en que todos los alumnos deben vestirse adecuadamente para no distraer y asi ofrecer  un ambiente seguro para todos.  Por favor no mande a su hijo/a a la escuela con lo siguiente: 
· Aretes muy largos, cadenas largas o mas gruesas de 1/8 y pañuelos
· Zapatos suecos, chanclas y plataformas más altas de 1- ½ pulgadas ó tenis con ruedas. Las sandalias deben tener correas.
· Pantalones demasiado sueltos o que enseñen la ropa interior
· Pantalones cortos, mini faldas o vestidos que enseñen la ropa interior. 
· Playeras o blusas muy cortas que enseñan parte de la piel o que tengan tirantes muy delgados o que se vea la ropa interior.
· Playeras deportivas de jersey,  camisetas sin mangas o camisetas que tengan dichos o diseños no apropiados.

Los alumnos que NO sigan éste reglamento, serán mandados a la oficina de la escuela y se les hablará a sus padres para que les traigan ropa adecuada. Si al llamar a casa, no hay nadie que le pueda traer ropa apropiada, le prestaremos una camiseta, pantalón o shorts.   Se mandará un aviso a casa notificandoles  del cambio de ropa.
