Principal's Corner

Message from the Principal

As the principal of Tiffany School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the students, parents, and staff to the 2007- 2008 school year.

My first year at Tiffany School was very rewarding. I thoroughly enjoyed working with your child(ren).  Whether in the classroom, on the playing field, or extended day activity, the highlight of my day is when I’m interacting with students.

We have wonderful news to report to you on the results of last spring’s California State Test. We more than doubled our projected API growth. We increased our API score from 828 to 837. We outscored all our neighboring schools. Special thanks to the students, parents, and instructional staff for this collective academic success.

I look forward to working with Tiffany’s PTA, School Site Council, and Educational Foundation. These key committees are assisting in bringing an abundant of resources to our students. I would like to encourage you to take an active role in your child’s education by becoming involved.  Tiffany offers many opportunities for parent participation: PTA, Rolling Readers, classroom volunteer, Tiffany’s Educational Foundation and School Site Council, are just but a few ways that you can become involved at your school.

This summer we added a walk/running track and expanded our grass area on our playground. We have a dedication planned for Thursday, September 13th, 6:00 PM, on the west side of our new track. A special thanks to Mr. Steve Adair and Mr. Greg Kalte who dedicated many days of labor this summer, equipment, and supplies to insure that our students returned to an improved playing/recreational area.

Student Achievement continues to be at the forefront of Tiffany’s priorities.  The instructional staff will continue to focus its efforts in enhancing the overall literacy program.

If I can be of any assistance to you or your child, please do not hesitate to call me at 424-6300, ext.5199.

Sincerely,

Charlie Padilla
Principal, Tiffany Elementary School
