In Spring 2012, our students demonstrated that with laser-like focus, they are closing the achievment gap. In our state's Academic Performance Index, Loma Verde scored 855. Our Hispanic/Latino students scored 845. Socioeconomically Disadvantaged students scored 843, and our English Learners scored 824. This year, we are deepening our focus in Reading, Writing and Vocabulary development. At our monthly Principal CAFEs, our parents are learning about strategies and skills students need to learn to be successful in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Achievement is possible when a school develops a strong partnership with parents, teachers, students, and its surrounding community.

This year, our journey toward academic excellence continues.  Our eyes are on the 900 API mark! To reach our academic targets, Loma Verde is committed to putting students first.  By collecting and analyzing student work and data, setting goals and making collaborative decisions, we are confident our students will exceed our expectations.
