Storybook Character Day
After an idea sparked by sixth grade student, Madison Brown, the students, families, staff and community members came together on Friday, March 2nd with an attempt to break a world record of having the largest gathering of storybook characters assembled in one place.  This event was linked with, "Read Across America Day", a motivation and awareness program celebrated across the United States each year.  There were 461 present dressed in storybook character costumes.  The number of people present was enough to break the current record, however, the record is not official until it's approved by Guinness.  It was a fun time for all!
