Mr. Cunningham was elected to the Board of Education in November 1990, appointed from June to November 1998, elected in 1998, and reelected in 2002 and 2006. His term expires in December 2010.
He attended Southwestern College and San Diego State University. Mr. Cunningham owns The Plumbing Store in Chula Vista.
Mr. Cunningham was Past Chairman of Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center’s Board of Directors, and Past President of South Bay Family YMCA, Chula Vista Rotary Club, Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, and the Bonita Valley Girls Softball. He is a Vietnam Veteran.
