School Vision and Mission

 

Vision:  The Rohr School Community is committed to creating a challenging and nurturing environment where all students are valued and respected.  Through the cooperative efforts of staff, students become innovative thinkers, socially responsible citizens, and confident readers and writers.

 

Mission:  All members of the Rohr School Community will model, instruct, and expect rigorous student performance in reading and writing. Student reading and writing will be at grade level or show significant measurable improvement. This mission will be achieved through implementation of proven effective strategies which will be used consistently throughout all grade levels. Teachers will assess reading by using the Developmental Reading Assessment.  Teachers will assess writing by using common standard –based rubrics across grade levels.
