School Description
McMillin Elementary School a K-6 year-round school, is the first school campus planned and built in the 21st century in the Lomas Verdes/Otay Ranch communities and opened in September 2001.  It is comprised of 5 main classroom buildings, 4 portable classrooms, Library/Media Center, an auditorium/cafeteria complex, outdoor lunch court, a YMCA childcare center and an administration/health facility.
 
In May 2004, State Superintendent for Public Education, Jack O’Connell awarded a California Distinguished School Award to McMillin Elementary School in Anaheim, California, sponsored by the California State Department of Education.
