WELCOME TO DISCOVERY CHARTER PRESCHOOL

The staff at Discovery Charter School welcomes you and your children to our preschool program, which was founded in July 2000.  We believe that each child is a unique, capable individual.  We strive to provide a program that values creativity, encourages curiosity, and fosters a love of learning.

Using developmentally appropriate teaching strategies, the staff facilitates student growth in all areas:  physical, social, emotional, and cognitive.  Varying levels of ability, overall development, and learning styles are expected, accepted, and used to design appropriate activities.

Our preschool has two certificated teachers who hold college degrees, teaching permits, and are CPR and First Aid trained.  We have an Associate Teacher who also has college training in the field of child development.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide a high quality preschool program for the children of (but not limited to) the Discovery Charter School Community, its staff, and its faculty and to give children a sense of the whole world through an exciting and rich environment.

WE ARE AN ACCREDITED PROGRAM
Discovery Charter Preschool has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.
We’re proud to be accredited by NAEYC, and recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards.

NAEYC Accreditation lets families in our community know that children in our program are getting the best care and early learning experiences.

If you are interested in enrolling your child, you will need to complete a registration packet and return it as soon as possible.  Spaces are reserved on a first come first serve basis.  The registration packet includes, but is not limited to, Birth Certificate, Immunization Record, and Physical Exam.

CONTINUING STUDENTS
The $75.00 registration fee will be waived for the next school year if the student attends consecutively, with no break in the monthly tuition payments.  If a continuing student returns AFTER the starting month of the new school year (July), there is no guarantee of space availability, and families will need to re-register and pay the $75.00 registration fee for the new school year.
