School begins at 8:50 A.M. The YMCA is available for childcare beginning at 6:00 A.M. until 8:30 A.M.
Breakfast Program: 8:30 - 8:45 A.M.
Students eating breakfast may enter the cafeteria area at 8:25 A.M.
Morning Supervision: 8:30 - 8:50 A.M.
There should be no students on the playground before 8:30 A.M. since there is no supervision
Classes Begin: 8:50 A.M.
Grades 1-3 Recess: 10:05 - 10:20 A.M.
A.M. Kindergarten Recess: 10:15 - 10:35 A.M.
Grades 4-6 Recess: 10:20 - 10:35 A.M.
P.M. Kindergarten Begins: 11:50 A.M.
Grades 1-3 Lunch: 11:40 - 12:25 P.M.
A.M. Kinder Dismissal: 12:10 P.M
Grades 4-6 Lunch: 12:30 - 1:15 P.M.
P.M. Kindergarten Recess: 1:00 - 1:20 P.M.
Grades 1-3 Recess: 2:00 - 2:20 P.M.
Classes Dismiss Monday - Thursday: 3:10 P.M.
Classes Dismiss Friday (minimum day):
Grades 1-3 1:40 P.M.
Grades 4-6 2:00 P.M.

SAFETY RULES FOR STUDENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
FOR THE SAKE OF STUDENT SAFETY and to help the flow of traffic, we respectfully insist that ALL parents/guardians and family members who drive students to and from school follow these rules:
1) ALWAYS drop students off at the Ann Daly Center.
2) ALWAYS pick students up at the Ann Daly Center.
For safety reasons students will not be allowed to wait in front of the Allen School Office after school is dismissed. Student supervision is provided in front of Ann Daly, but not in front Allen.
3) DRIVE SLOWLY AND CAUTIOUSLY.
4) DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF ALLEN SCHOOL for purposes of drop-off or picking-up your child. Cars attempting to back out of the parking spaces often tie up traffic. We are fortunate to have a large parking lot at Ann Daly for your convenience.
5) NEVER DOUBLE PARK. If you will be getting out of your car, please park in a marked space at Ann Daly.
6) BE POLITE TO OTHER DRIVERS, OUR PARENT PATROL, AND THE STUDENT SAFETY PATROL. Our children learn from the behaviors that we model.
7) STUDENTS MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF DISMISSAL. Please do not leave your children unattended on the school grounds as there is no after-school supervision.
If you need after-school care for your child, please consider the YMCA or DASH programs. The school office can give you further information.
