Pick-Up Information for Parents
Parents:  Please help us keep your children safe by not motioning to them to run across the parking lot to get to your car.  It is imperative that parents park, use the crosswalk to the waiting area for children, and then use the crosswalk again to get back to your car.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

Electronic Toys on Campus and Bus
Please note that our school policy states that toys, including electronic devices, are not permitted at school or on the bus.  These expensive toys can be lost, broken, or stolen so it is best if toys are left at home.  All students have been warned repeatedly and the rule is stated in the Parent Handbook.  From now on, toys brought to school will be confiscated and not returned until June 14.  For student safety, we will make exceptions for cell phones.  The policy for cell phones is that phones are off and stored in backpacks during the school day.  Students are not allowed to use their cell phones during the day to call parents for forgotten homework.  Students can turn on their phones after being dismissed by teachers at 3:10.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Dogs on Campus
Please be aware of that dogs are not allowed on campus.  Exceptions are made for service dogs.  This rule is designed to protect students as well as the dogs.  Dogs and puppies can become excited or hard to control when frightened or provoked so it is best that we keep them off campus.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Run 4 Fun
Many Allen students are participating in Run 4 Fun, a running and walking program every morning at 8:00 on the blacktop.  Students are encouraged to run and walk laps for their health.  Each lap is counted and students earn little "foot" charms for  so many laps.  The kids love getting to school early for exercise and we find the exercise gets their brains warmed up and ready for the day.  Come check it out and see what it's all about!
