Proficiency Test

THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE FOLLOWING JOB CATEGORIES REQUIRES THE PASSING OF A CVESD PROFICIENCY TEST. Click here for testing dates and information.

• Instructional Assistant
• Bus Driver
• Child Nutrition Assistant
• Clerical
• Custodian
• Noon Duty Assistant
• Student Attendant / Bus Attendant     

New Applicant Procedure

BASIC APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Pass CVESD Proficiency Test.
2. When you pass the test, you will receive a letter in the mail with instructions on how to begin the application process.
3. Turn in all completed requirements (listed in your letter) at the District Office and fill out an application. At this time,
you can only obtain and turn in applications in person at the District Office.
4. Pay for and fill out LiveScan form at the District Office for Fingerprinting. Get fingerprints done at instructed location.
5. Send out at least three confidential recommendation forms to previous employers or personal references (these can be
obtained through the link below or at the District Office).
6. At this point you will be notified of your application status and will be given further information through the mail.

These forms may be used by the applicant to give to previous employers and personal references. Once the forms are filled out they must be returned in a sealed envelope to CVESD by the employer or personal reference to Human Resources at CVESD 84 E. "J" Street Chula Vista, CA 91910 either by mail or in person.
