Partners for Success
CVESD partners with community members and organizations to provide extra funding and oportunities to our schools and students. Without the generous contributions of business and community members, it would not be possible to present programs such as the District Holiday Card Contest (California Coast Credit Union and Copy Link) and the District Speech Contest (Chula Vista Rotary).

District Holiday Card Contest
With an inspirational message of "Peace on Earth," sixth-grade student Larissa Viniegra won first place in the Chula Vista Elementary School District’s 2011 biennial holiday greeting card competition. The competition helps generate community goodwill and appreciation of student artwork through greeting cards designed and created by students. California Coast Credit Union and Copy Link are the event sponsors. Larissa, who attends Halecrest Elementary, will receive a $125 cash prize. Mikala Villanueva Quimbao, third-grade student at Veterans Elementary, took second place. Jordan Dimapilis, a fourth-grade student at Chula Vista Hills Elementary, captured third place. Larissa's wintry theme included two snowmen and was used as the cover of the District's 2011 holiday card.
